Being an actual girl band instruments are an essential part of the video to portray the genre pop rock and to create an important element for our music video that is performance. We wanted to do this as we were inspired by other girl bands such as Paramore and War Paint who are independent strong female role models, mainly with the Indie record label that we have chosen 'Rough Trade'. We will not be using the male gaze in our video (Laura Maulvey) as we are trying to interpret the more Indie side and that we don't focus of selling the band by voyeurism but in fact by showing that we are true musicians and selling it on the talent.
We will be using :

JOELY.......
Will be the drummer of the group. In the chorus it cuts to shots of us performing as a band and of course Joely will be shown playing the drums, we want to make it as realistic looking as possible so we have requested the use of a proper drum set from our music facility. Joely has her own drum kit at home and is a drummer and this will show authenticity which is key to anchoring our Indie roots
MEGAN...Will be playing the electric guitar in the performance element of the video and again we have requested a real, good quality electric guitar to achieve the best look. Also Megan will be on vocals there for she will need a microphone and microphone stand.
CHARLOTTE...Will be playing the proper bass guitar within the performance part of the video. She will also be next to Megan in terms of stage positioning and occasionally at the main part of the chorus be joining in with Megan.
Your blog is starting to come to life Charlotte but your posts lack depth and attention to detail. It's very descriptive in the main and I want you to try and make more links with the institutional context of your production all the way through - this should be the thread that connects it all! Where is your animatic too? This needs to be posted ASAP. As team leader, you now need to begin the process of documenting locations, getting location shots and leading your team in this direction. In addition I want to see you begin to develop your digi-pack ideas ion your blog. Finally, check your spellings and punctuation - Journal/Chorus are spelt incorrectly. A good start but with only a few posts since half term, I think you need to be blogging more. Moore said "Blog More"! x
