Journal

Tick list of what has been achieved this week .......

We worked well as a team after appointing jobs to each person and worked hard together in order to be successful in our story boards and animatics. It has been a good weeks in terms of being up to date with what we should be doing.

  • We have completed our storyboard.
  •  We have continued and completed our animatics video meaning that we met our aim and it will son be uploaded to the blogg in my next post.
  • We have discussed as a group what are aims and targets may be for the week ahead.
  • We have brainstormed locations.

Here are some shots we've taken out of the animatics to show examples of the types of frames that will be using and how they create meaning.

This shot is a close up shot of Megan singing fitting in with Goodwins theory. It establishes that she is the lead singer of the band and focuses on her main talent which of course is to sing. By making eye contact with the camera it means the audience can feel a connection to her and can really connect with the words she is singing. It makes the audience think that she may be singing to them therefore creating a more personal level with the audience.

This shot is of me it is a mid shot and the reason for this is to show this musical talent within the band which would be the bass guitar, by using the mid shot it focuses on not only the band member but also the instrument. Not making eye contact with the camera but looking down playing shows the passion for the music and how I am getting into my role in the band.

This long shot is to portray the band as a whole. In the majority of rock/pop videos have performance elements and this is our performance part of the video. It will be at the chorus part of the song and shows the audience a full view of the band as a whole the talents they have and captures the style /band image they are portraying which then gives a sense of genre.
